The Bass Fishing here on lake Okeechobee has been fairly consistent all summer long, mainly because we haven’t had any hurricanes hit us this year …so far?

The water is trying to come down but it is just taking a longer than usual. The fish are really schooled up now and when you get on a hole you catch them one after another. My Lake Okeechobee fishing guides are catching around 20- 50 bass each day here on Okeechobee. The big bass each day are ranging in the 7lbs range, the fish over or near 10lbs are not common at all this time of year, but if you are looking to catch a lot of fish this is the time here on Lake Okeechobee.

Places to fish here on Lake Okeechobee are ….Coot Bay, East Wall (inside), Pelican Bay (inside) and Monkey Box area.

The lures to try are…. the Zoom Horny Toad, Rattle traps and even a Carolina rigs…..and if you want to have the best shot at a Big Okeechobee Bass go with the live shiners…real good!!!
