Bass Fishing this June has been one of the better Junes that I can remember here on Lake Okeechobee. The Water here on the lake has been high all month and the fish are staying back in the bays and swamp good. Usually the fish will start to come out to the outside grass lines and feed, but the water here on Okeechobee is staying up so the Bass are staying back.

The Flipping bite here on Okeechobee this summer has been very good, because the floating grass mats are more common this year with the high water. Florida has had a lot of rain this year with all the close calls from the hurricanes. Lures to throw on Okeechobee are….Paca Craw, Sweet Beavers and the new Gambler creature bait.

My Lake Okeechobee fishing guides have all been producing around the same numbers of fish catches each day, but the big fish numbers have been a little sporadic each day…but that is not to uncommon here on lake Okeechobee in the summer time.

Places to fish here on Lake Okeechobee are ….Coot Bay, East Wall (inside), Pelican Bay (inside) and Monkey Box area.
